Sun Dried Tomato Basil Hummus

I’ve always wanted to try making hummus at home. It’s such a simple and super healthy dip – packed with protein and flavor. Today I finally got around to it! Happy birthday to my hubby – he picked the flavor – he apparently loves sun dried tomatoes so I had to give it a try 😉 It turned out really yummy! Mine is a little thick, so I think next time I will add an extra tablespoon of olive oil – or retain the liquid of the beans like I was supposed to.. Anyway. I also didn’t have any fresh basil, so I substituted with just a half a tablespoon of dried, I’m sure it would have been much better with fresh! It still turned out delicious, sweet with a tiny kick. Give it a try for a healthy snack and let me know what you think!
