Pepperoni Calzones

This week for pizza night we made pepperoni calzones – great new variation! These were really good and super easy to make, it could be even easier too by using premade pizza crust like what Pillsbury offers. Hope you enjoy!

Serves 2

  • 1 packet of Betty Crocker pizza crust mix or Pillsbury premade dough
  • pepperonis
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup shredded parmesan
  • 1/2 cup of pizza sauce
  • whatever other toppings you might want
  • butter
  • red pepper flakes
  • garlic powder

  1. Prepare whatever crust you chose according to package directions – then separate
  2. Preheat oven to 425 degrees
  3. On a floured surface, roll your first hunk of dough into a square or circle
  4. Repeat with other piece of dough
  5. One a greased backing sheet or pizza stone, lay out your dough, add a spoonful of sauce, some cheese, pepperonis and whatever other toppings you want to half of the dough, then top with more cheese.
  6. Carefully lift the other half of dough so that it covers your filling, then pinch the edge so they will stay closed while baking
  7. Top with garlic powder, red pepper flakes and more cheese
  8. Repeat with other calzone
  9. Bake for about 15 minutes until top is golden brown
  10. Enjoy!

“I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit,
for apart from Me you can do nothing. My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit,
and so¬†prove to be My disciples.”

John 15:5,8
