Easy Veggie Wontons

We love Chinese cuisine around here. Fried rice, Chinese chicken, Lo Mein, all of it. I’ve made egg rolls before, and they turned out really good, but I wanted to try making actual wontons too. They turned out great! These veggie Wontons are so yummy! They are also super easy and quick to make! I can’t say they’re super healthy – they do however have veggies in them 🙂 Check out the recipe below and let me know in the comments how they turned out!!

  • 1/2 cup bean sprouts
  • 1/2 cup shredded purple cabbage
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/2 cup finely julienned mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoons of  soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon of water
  • 1 teaspoon of cornstarch
  • 20 wonton wrappers

  1. Saute all the veggies in a skillet with olive oil until soft
  2. Add the soy sauce and honey
  3. Remove from skillet and spread over a paper towel lined plate
  4. In a small bowl, mix together the water and cornstarch
  5. Once the veggies are cooled, fill the wonton wrappers and then fold in half, sealing with the cornstarch slurry
  6. Fry until golden brown – about 1-2 minutes on medium high heat – 350-375 degrees
  7. Enjoy!

We loved these easy yummy wontons, and hope you do too! 🙂

Happy baking!

“God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways,
in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things,
through whom also He made the world.”
