Chocolate Chunk Brownies

These brownies. I can’t say enough good things about them. They were SO easy and they taste like something that came from a bakery. They are so chocolatey, so decadent and rich – you will probably only be able to eat one – but you’ll want to eat the whole pan.. They’re almost like eating fudge there are so many chocolate chunks inside! I added walnuts to mine because I love the combo of nuts with chocolate, but feel free to leave them out if you don’t want them – or substitute them with something else like pecans or peanuts – I’m sure that would be equally delicious! Enough talking – here’s the recipe!

  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1 & 1/2 cups chocolate chunks
  • 1/2 cup nuts of choice (if using)
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup (one stick) room temperature butter

  1. Place parchment paper in 8×8 or 9×9 baking pan
  2. Cream butter and sugar, add vanilla
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time
  4. Combine flour, cocoa and salt in small bowl, mix
  5. Add flour mixture to brownie batter, a small amount at a time
  6. Add the baking soda, beat
  7. With spatula or spoon, mix in the chocolate chunks and nuts
  8. Pour into prepared pan, smoothing out the top – batter will be very thick
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes at 350 degrees
  10. Brownies are down when inserted toothpick comes out clean
  11. ENJOY!

These were heavenly, I want to make them for everyone now! Definitely my go to brownie recipe from now on!

Happy baking!
