BBQ Chicken Pizza

We LOVE pizza in this house. Pizza of any kind. I’ve never really liked BBQ chicken pizza that I’ve gotten out – however I love the idea of it. So I decided to try it at home a few times. I think this is only our second or third time having it at home – but we love it! This time I made it with Carolina BBQ sauce – it was good, but I think next time we’ll stick to a darker BBQ. I forgot to grab bacon for it (and it was definitely missed) but don’t do this – the bacon is like the icing on top. If you love BBQ and pizza, you’ll love this delicious combo!! 🙂

  • 1 pizza dough – I like to get the Betty Crocker packets – they’re yummy or just grab a premade one (One day when I have a kitchen I’ll have real homemade dough on hand)
  • BBQ sauce of your choice
  • 1 chicken breast
  • 1/2 vidalia onion
  • 5 slices of bacon
  • 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup of shredded Monterrey jack cheese

  1. Cook the chicken on the stove top with a little olive oil, add any spices you may like. I love my Mrs. Dash grilled chicken spice mix
  2. When done, remove the chicken and cut into strips, toss with your BBQ sauce
  3. Shred the cheese
  4. Prepare your dough, thinly slice your onions
  5. Cook your bacon, then crumble
  6. Once dough is ready to add toppings – cover lightly with BBQ sauce
  7. Add half of the cheese mixture
  8. Top with chicken, onions and bacon
  9. Top with the rest of the cheese
  10. Bake at 425 degrees for 10-15 minutes – until desired done-ness
  11. Enjoy!!

Happy Baking!
